KERRY FOODS STRIKES GOLD AT THE IRISH FOOD & DRINK INDUSTRY AWARDS

Kerry Foods is delighted to announce that it has won an ‘Export award’ at the Irish Food Board’s prestigious Food & Drink Industry Awards. The Awards acknowledge the trailblazers in the Irish Food & Drink Industry who have proven their passion and ambition to drive the sector forward.

 

Kerry Foods won the award for the launch and distribution build of the Cheestrings brand in eight continental European markets. Cheestrings has been a staple for UK households for over 20 years and continues to show strong growth (+8%)[1]. Today the brand has a total value of over €100m per annum and is available to more than 350 million consumers across Europe.

The judges of the award commented: “This is a great Irish success story abroad and one which has followed a clear strategy to grow Cheestrings exports in an ever-expanding market base. The entry demonstrated excellence in distribution and promotional strategies. Future plans also showcased strong ambition and were clearly insight driven – a superb example of best in class export marketing.”
